Repair Handoff Disclaimer

Last updated: June 2026

This page explains what it means when helpmypc.ai asks whether you are happy for a local approved repair partner to contact you about a hands-on repair.

1. What repair handoff means

Some computer problems cannot be safely fixed through chat. If helpmypc.ai thinks a device needs hands-on repair, the assistant may ask whether you are happy for a local approved repair partner to contact you about repairing your device.

Saying yes means you are asking for repair contact. It does not mean a repair partner has accepted the job, agreed a price, guaranteed availability, or guaranteed an outcome.

2. Your choice

You can say no. If you say no, helpmypc.ai will not pass the repair contact request on for partner contact. The chat may still explain that the device needs hands-on inspection if the issue cannot be solved safely online.

3. What data may be shared

If you agree to repair contact and provide details, helpmypc.ai may share the minimum practical repair information with an approved local repair partner assigned or admin-approved for that lead.

This may include:

  • Your name if provided
  • Your phone number or email address if provided for repair contact
  • Your full postcode or general area
  • A short summary of the computer problem
  • Relevant diagnostic notes and device details
  • Uploaded images or screenshots where relevant and safe

Do not send passwords, recovery keys, passkeys, bank details, card details, private screen contents or unnecessary personal documents.

4. Approved repair partners

Approved local repair partners are separate businesses from AI Diagnostic Systems Ltd unless separately stated. AI Diagnostic Systems Ltd operates helpmypc.ai, provides platform triage and supports routing/admin review. It is not automatically the repair contractor.

A partner may contact you directly about the repair once a repair contact request is passed on. You should confirm any price, appointment, diagnosis, warranty or service terms directly with the repair business.

Customers are connected with an approved local repair partner where suitable. There is no guaranteed priority for Help Computer Centre or any other approved repair partner.

5. Current partner rollout phase

Repair partner routing is currently in an early approved partner phase. Coverage may be limited, and helpmypc.ai does not claim established coverage across every area.

Help Computer Centre in Bangor is one approved local repair partner involved in the early rollout. Other approved local repair partners in Greater Belfast and North Down may be used where suitable, based on service area, availability, job fit and admin review.

During the free early partner access phase, helpmypc.ai and AI Diagnostic Systems Ltd do not provide a platform-backed warranty or workmanship guarantee for partner repair work unless separately agreed in writing.

6. No guaranteed response or outcome

We do not guarantee partner availability, response time, acceptance, price, diagnosis, repair outcome or workmanship. Any repair service is normally between you and the repair business unless separately stated.

7. Concerns and data questions

If you have questions about a repair handoff, customer data, or a partner contact request, contact support@helpmypc.ai.
